Approved by: about Stigmata After receiving a rosary from her mother, Frankie Paige begins to experience bizarre physical manifestations of holes, whippings, and spiritual ecstasy. Frankie is experiencing the Stigmata. The Vatican sends out Father Andrew Kiernan, an ex-Scientist and priest who is defined by his personal doubt.Though Father Andrew Kiernan does not believe at first that Frankie can be experiencing the true Stigmata, or the wounds of Christ, because she is not of the faithful, he soon witnesses enough of her experience to make him a believer. The two of them, against the Vatican, fight to figure out the reasons behind it, as well as struggle to save Frankie from the desire of the Vatican to hush up what is happening to her.
